Faultline Journal of Arts and Letters

There are presently no open calls for submissions.

*NOTICE: As of Dec 13, 2023, we have reached submission caps in both poetry and fiction. Submissions are now closed for Volume 33, and will not reopen. Thank you for your interest and support!

FAULTLINE welcomes submissions of previously unpublished poetry, fiction, and translations. We read work submitted between October 15th and December 15th. Submissions received at any other time will not be read. To become familiar with work previously published by FAULTLINE, we suggest visiting our Buy page to order an issue. You can also view the most recent edition of FAULTLINE online here.

As a small, student-run publication, unfortunately we are unable to pay contributors at this time.

General guidelines:

  • Poetry: up to five poems.
  • Fiction: up to twenty pages double-spaced (one story).
  • Translation: up to five poems and up to twenty pages double-spaced (one story) for fiction, and a brief translator's note. See submission page for more detailed guidelines.

Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please withdraw your submission immediately if accepted elsewhere. If you need to make a partial withdrawal (for instance, one poem out of five has been accepted elsewhere), please notify us by sending a message through Submittable (or email us if you submitted between 12/14 and 12/15).
